This handcrafted portrait orientated frame features a large whale shark swimming up in the turuqoise, blue and dark blue sea surrounded by a shoal of fish, this frame could showcase a vacation memory or scuda diving adventure and brings a piece of the ocean in every room.

The shark is backpainted in silver shimmering on the front. We use textures to enhance the designs and the outlines of the sea amimal and the shoal of fish with grey dots on the surface of the glass. The front of the wall panel is smooth with the texture being on the underside of the glass creating shadows on the front.

The glass is slightly translucent apart from the shark that is backpainted, you can see that the relief makes the design look different depending on the angle you look at it. The glass panel in framed in.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are hand-carved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
