This vibrant triptych illustrates a coastal scenery with a lighthouse on the left, the sea with waves in the middle and a cliff on the right using low relief, colours and various processes to accentuate the motion of the sea. It is inspired by the Dorset coast, the views of the Isle of Wight on the left and Old Harry's Rock on the right beyond Poole Bay. Some parts of the panel are slightly translucent, the sea is fading from blue to turquoise. The texture is applied to the front of the glass panel which re-creates the motion of the waves

OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 90cm wide and 45cm high + gaps in between the frames so up to 100cm wide inlcuding 2 gaps of 5cm each

The front of the panel is textured and glued to the glass of the frame.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.

CONTAINS: 3 wave frames altogether as follows: the frames are 2 at 25cmx45cm(10x18") with glass art at 15x35cm and 1 frame at 45x45cm - 17x17" | Glass Art 35x35cm - 13x13" ., the glass artwork is glued to the front of the glass of the frame. The frame is a box frame and ready to hang on the wall with a cable going across.
