Coral Frame - Large Square -Blue Turquoise Green - 44x44cm(17 1/2")

This square glass frame illustrates a round coral / seaweed using low relief, colours and various processes to accentuate the texture of the coral. The front of the frame is strongly textured creating shadows sideways, the glass art is round and glued to the front of the frame. The glass is slightly translucent, the colours are different shades of blue, turquoise and lime green fading out, you can see that the relief makes the design look different depending on the angle you look at it.

The front of the panel is highly textured and the back is smooth.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are hand-carved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.

CONTAINS: 1 large square coral frame in blue, turquoise and lime green fading out (the glass art is round and glued to the front of the frame). The frame is ready to hang on the wall with a wire across the back, it is a good quality wooden frame in white with a grainy effect.
