This panoramic vibrant landscape frame illustrates a rolling wave with a sun, the foam of the water and birds in the sky using low relief, colours and various processes to accentuate the motion of the wave. Some parts of the panel are slightly translucent, the sea is fading from blue to turquoise. The texture is applied to the front of the glass panel making the waves more realistic.
DIMENSIONS: Frame 60x20cm - 23 1/2x8" | the glass panel is 50x10cm (19 1/2x4")
The front of the panel is smooth and the back is textured.
After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are hand-carved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
CONTAINS: 1 panoramic wave frame (60x20cm - 23 1/2x8" | the glass panel is 50x10cm - 19 1/2x4"). The frame is ready to hang on the wall with a wire across the back, it is a good quality wooden frame in white with a grainy effect.
