These fused glass placemats are handmade by Matt Adkins, a glass artist based in Dorset, UK.

They are smooth on the topside and textured on the underside.

A set would make the perfect gift for any home as you can choose a set with the same colour for all the placemats and optional coasters or choose various colours, for instance 2 different colours or a different colour per placemat.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
