Seabed Teal Ring Glass Dish 10cm(4")
Seabed Teal Ring Glass Dish 10cm(4")
This glass dish is inspired by my love of the natural aquatic world. The unique low relief formed to the underside of this turquoise aqua glass was inspired by seabed. The curved lines, ripples and bubbles captured throughout give the motion of the sea with a fading from turquoise to blue. The relief was applied to the underside of the bowl leaving the top side smooth.
This little dish can be used for rings on a bedside table, for keys or for a tea light or anything else.
DIMENSIONS: 10cm | 4"
The top of the bowl is smooth and the underside is textured.
After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
