Paradise Portrait Suncatcher 24x8cm(9 1/2"x3"), Beach Seabed Foam Hanging Suncatcher Fused Glass Art, Window Hanging, housewarming gifts

This vibrant and soothing glass panel illustrates a close-up of a beach scene with the turquoise/blue seabed and foam of the water coming onto the sandy beach using low relief, colours and various processes to accentuate the motion of the sea. Some parts of the panel are slightly translucent, the sea is fading from blue to turquoise. The texture is applied to the back of the glass panel creating shadows to the front, you can really see the ripple effect of the sea on the top half of the glass art, 2 hooks at the top and a cord going through, you can easily adjust the length of the cord.

The front of the panel is smooth and the back is textured.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
