This soothing frame illustrates a seaside scenery of a beach scene with the sea in turquoise/teal and the beach in white/beige, the sky with blue with seagulls using low relief, colours and various processes to accentuate the motion of the sea. Some parts of the panel are slightly translucent. The texture is applied to the back of the glass panel creating shadows to the front.
DIMENSIONS: Frame 25x25cm 10x 10” | Glass Art 15x15cm 6"
The front of the panel is smooth and the back is textured.
After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are hand-carved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
CONTAINS: 1 small square turquoise beach frame (25x25cm 10x 10” | Glass Art 15x15cm 6"). The frame is ready to hang on the wall with a wire across the back, it is a good quality wooden frame in white with a grainy effect.
